We’ve been running our Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM) “deal” for the past two years, and 2022 will be no different! We’re bringing it back again this year and hope to raise even more.

For those who missed what we did the last two years, we’ll be donating 50% of our Black Friday and Cyber Monday revenue. That means if you purchase a plan or if you’re an existing customer and want to upgrade, you’ll be donating to several worthy causes!

In 2021, we were super proud to have been able to donate €35,000 to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), Fondation de France, and multiple other smaller more personal charities chosen by the Weglot team.

So when the discussion came up again internally as to what we’d be doing for this year’s BFCM, it was a unanimous decision to again go down the giving route. As we’ve done in both previous years, the team was fully onboard in deciding which charities we’ll be donating to.

This year we’re once again happy to announce we’ll be donating to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and Fondation de France as well as a number of other charities personal to the Weglot team.

medecin sans frontiers

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an independent, global movement providing medical aid where it’s needed most. They provide lifesaving medical humanitarian care and speak out about worldwide issues.

fondation de France

Fondation de France is a French charity active in all non-profit sectors that contribute to the greater good and supports a vast array of initiatives within France and abroad. They work together with beneficiaries to build effective and meaningful solutions that advance society. The donation will go more specifically to their “Cancer Research” program.

As we mentioned above, the Weglot team also selected several other charities that help societal, humanitarian, and public health concerns. Including, LGBT rights, cancer research, and refugees.

Augustin Prot, co-founder, and CEO of Weglot said of the initiative, “Having done this for the last two years, we are really proud to again be in a position to support several worthy charities. As a traditionally consumer-focused event, this initiative gives us the chance to give back at a time when it has never been more important.”

So if you were thinking about purchasing a Weglot plan or upgrading your current one, we hope you’ll decide to do it on either the 25th or 28th of November and join us in making a positive impact as 2022 draws to a close.

We’ll be pushing our campaign out on social media from now until Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If you can help spread the message by retweeting or reposting any of our posts, we’d be super grateful so we can donate even more this year and match and hopefully beat our 2021 donation.

We’re hoping to be able to let you know exactly how much we’ve raised just after Cyber Monday on the 29th of November, otherwise known as Giving Tuesday, so keep an eye out for the news!
