This year, we were pleased to be able to bring back our initiative of donating 50% of BFCM revenue to a variety of charitable organizations. In keeping with the past two years, we decided not to offer any discounts, instead, we wanted to support local and global charities close to the Weglot team.
And, today on Giving Tuesday we thought it was the appropriate moment to share our results!
But firstly, we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that published our initiative, spread the message to the wider community, and to those that chose to purchase or upgrade across these two days.
So without further ado, we are thrilled to announce that for 2022 we’ve raised €52,000!
As a team, we are especially proud of seeing that amount grow again after last year’s €35,000 donation.
2022 charities
We are once again donating a portion of the proceeds to two charities we’ve supported for a number of years, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and Fondation de France.
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an independent, global movement providing medical aid where it’s needed most. They provide lifesaving medical humanitarian care and speak out about worldwide issues.
Fondation de France is a French charity active in all non-profit sectors that contribute to the greater good and supports a vast array of initiatives within France and abroad. They work together with beneficiaries to build effective and meaningful solutions that advance society. The donation will go more specifically to their “Cancer Research” program.
Additionally, we’ll donate to several charities chosen by the team, including:

- Nikki Solidarité

- Rescue
- Hôpital Gustave Roussy
- Le refuge
