The Black Friday and Cyber Monday rush has come to an end. If you’ve been following our updates regularly, you’d have seen that we chose not to do a big sale this year.

Instead, in the spirit of the giving season, we were thrilled to continue our yearly initiative of donating 50% of BFCM revenue to several charitable organizations. Like in the previous 3 years, we decided not to offer discounts, but to support local and global charities handpicked by the Weglot team.

It was amazing to see the support we’ve received, both from those who joined us in our donation by purchasing or upgrading a Weglot plan in those days, and those who spread the word about our initiative. A huge thank you to everyone who participated! We couldn’t have done it without you.

Now that the post-BFCM dust is settling, we’d like to take this opportunity on Giving Tuesday to announce that for 2023, we’ve raised €‎60,000!

We’re especially pleased to see that we were able to yet again surpass the previous year’s donation—in 2022, we donated €52,000.

2023 Charities

Like in previous years, we’re donating a portion of the proceeds to two charities: Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and Fondation de France. We’ve supported these two foundations for several years now as the main beneficiaries of this initiative.

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an international humanitarian organization that delivers medical assistance to areas devastated by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare with impartiality, independence, and neutrality.

Fondation de France is a French charity with initiatives in all non-profit sectors, both within France and internationally. They collaborate with beneficiaries to create truly impactful solutions in the lives of others. As they have many sectors, our donation will go towards their Cancer Research program.

We’ll also be donating to several charities chosen by the team, including:
