We’re thrilled to announce that we have successfully completed the System and Organizational Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 examination, making Weglot officially SOC 2 Type 1 compliant. 

Data privacy has always been essential to us here at Weglot and how we handle customer data has consistently been with a privacy-first approach. That’s why this achievement further supports our commitment to your security.

What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 compliance is a voluntary industry standard that specifies how organizations should manage customer data. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs, the standard is based on the following criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. 

Why is SOC 2 important? 

As a widely recognized standard, a SOC 2 report provides new and current users of Weglot with assurance about how we handle data and process customer information. Overall, SOC 2 compliance indicates that as an organization we maintain a high level of information security. 

To comply with SOC 2 a number of on-site audits are conducted by independent CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) to ensure sensitive information is being handled responsibly.
